LAKOS Eliminates Costly Biannual Cleaning of Heat Exchangers

PROBLEM: Two plate and frame heat exchangers at the Cincinnati Convention Center required cleaning twice a year at $15,000 per cleaning.

SOLUTION: A LAKOS AXL Series Separator with Closed Recovery System was installed on the discharge side of each of 5 system pumps. (Flow: 3,000 U.S. GPM per pump.) CRS bags collect 50 to 150 gallons of dirt from the cooling system per week for convenient disposal. Two and a half years after the LAKOS installation, heat exchangers still did not require cleaning. Payback on the 5 LAKOS Separators was realized in six months.
